Our process
We work with you from start to finish to ensure your reproduction looks the way you want it to.
Typically originals are scanned, retouched, color corrected, and a series of tests are printed on the chosen media. Once we are satisfied with the test, the artist provides feedback to ensure the color is suitable. Once approved we go to print with the final reproduction. The file is supplied to the artist and archived for future orders. Generally this process takes 5-10 days.
Our Equipment
We currently use three wide format printers for our fine-art printing. An Epson 9600 & 9800 handle the bulk of our archival giclee print work on watercolor paper and canvas up to 44" wide. Our Roland 745EX handles oversize (up to 6' wide rolls) commercial, and specialty media projects. Scanning is done on either a Fuji 2750 or Imacon 848. All printers are tweaked and every media is custom profiled to ensure accurate, consistant color.
Our Materials
Our standard stock media consists of archival smooth and textured watercolor & canvas rolls in sizes up to 44" wide. We also have a rotating stock of heavier weight sheets including Crane, Arches (Hot and Cold press), and Hahnemule papers. Specific media can be special ordered on request (minimum orders may apply).
Our People
These days everyone seems to have a new giclee printer, so why are there so many unhappy artists? Investing in technology only works if you have technicians that can realise it's potential. Our Giclee printing is managed by Dave Pollock, a partner in Prism Imaging with nearly 30 years of professional colour printing experience. Dave makes sure your work looks it's best.
