Giclee Printing

"Giclee" Pronounced zhee-clay is derived from a French term meaning "to spray ink". It is widely used as a generic term for inkjet printed fine art reproductions, though it is not itself a standard and does not set a bar for quality or performance. Basically all giclee prints are not created equal. Early giclee prints were based on dye inks that only lasted a few years - many consumer desktop printers and some large format machines use similar inks today. Pigment inks were introduced to combat fading, though early pigments had very limited color range. Todays pigment inks are capable of producing vibrant, accurate color that will last in excess of 100years on appropriate media.

The color accuracy, sharpness, and archival performance of a giclee print can be highly variable depending on the equipment, inks, media, and most importantly the technician's experience and care taken through out the process. We are proud to produce exceptional work, and we stand behind our printing 100%. If we can't satisfy your requirements, we won't charge you - it's that simple.
